Land's End: Great Christmas Ideas ~ Review and Giveaway (12/8) CLOSED

I had the wonderful opportunity to be contacted by Land's End and asked to review one of their Lighthouse Wheeled Duffle Bags, Women's Regular Terry Travel Slippers with Bag, and their Kid Fleece Slippers. The best part is they are offering one of their wheeled duffle bags (valued at $149.50) to one of my readers. Keep reading for details!

I will start with the Kid Fleece Slippers. I decided my oldest son would be the best candidate to review these for me and he had just been asking for slippers so I thought it was perfect timing. He choose these adorable slippers:

When I asked him what he thought of them his exact words were "These are awesome, they keep my feet warm and stay on without slipping off". There has not been a day when it is cold that he doesn't have them on his feet. Here is a little info about them taken from Land's End:

* Plush fleece uppers
* Rib-knit ankle collars are easy to pull on and stay on
* Cushiony foam padding softens each step
* Suede sole helps keep kids on their feet
* Embroideries are fun for feet
Thanks to the rib-knit ankle collar, they pull on fast and stay on. Fluffy fleece uppers and cushiony padding soften every step. Suede footbeds help keep kids steady. And the cute embroideries will make kids giggle as they wiggle

So all in all he gave them an A+ and will wear them until they wear out or get too small. So if you are looking for a practical and fun present to go along with all the games and toys this is the perfect item for your little one. Ranging in sizes from toddler 9 to big kids 7 you are sure to find one to fit your little (or big) one. Not to mention they have the cutest designs on them!

Next it was my turn, I got to review the Women's Regular Terry Travel Slippers with Bag.

When I first saw the beautiful bag they came in I got a little excited, I desperately needed some slippers. After admiring the bag for a second I quickly got the slippers on and put them on my feet.

The minute my foot entered into the slipper it was in heaven. The cushy footbed of the shoe made me feel like I was walking on a soft pillow. They were so amazing. The slip resistant sole is perfect for me because I am known to cause my own accidents from slips so that was an important feature for me. The best part is the warmth! My feet are usually freezing this time of year and when I am wearing these slippers they are so toasty. I even wore them on an evening trip to Walmart one evening because they are so comfy and warm. They are also extra flexible for easy packing! So if you are looking for an extra little gift to get the lady in your life then I highly suggest looking into these slippers, they are a piece of heaven for your feet.

Last but definitely not least was the Lighthouse Wheeled Duffle Bags. I literally gasped when I opened the duffle bag because it is amazing! This is definitely no ordinary duffle bag. A few pictures before I go into detail about it:

The bottom of the bag is not like a regular duffle, it is more like a suitcase. It is hard casing and has "legs" to set it on so it is not directly on the ground. For me a big thing is ease of use and it has wheels and a collapsible handle that will swivel to suit lefties or righties. It rolled so very smoothly and was very easy to get out and about.

Next is the space! Now if you know me I like to pack a lot. I have to have 1 full outfit (at least) for each day I am gone when I go on a trip. This bag will fit much more than that. I went away to my mother in laws for Thanksgiving and I had to pack 5 outfits (my whole family), shoes to match, pajamas, makeup case, flat iron case, bathroom needs (shampoo, conditioner, deodarant, etc) for my whole family and it all fit so perfectly with room left over!! When I say this bag is spacious I am not kidding.

There are collapsible interior walls to reinforce the sides and a lower compartment to separate shoes from clothes. So instead of trying to hold a duffle bag open (as you usually have to do with most duffle bags) the walls that you can put up keep it open like a suite case making easy packing. As well as organizational pockets to hold boarding passes, itineraries, keys, wallet — anything you need at hand. There is also a lower compartment under the main packing area that is zipped and waterproof that you can use to store shoes or bathroom needs that you don't want to risk leaking on your clothes.

A few things about the duffle taken from the site:
Exclusive Lighthouse® luggage, designed to solve some of your worst travel headaches.
* Tough 1680 denier ballistic nylon is resistant to tears, abrasion, stains, and moisture
* Whether left or right-handed, the handle locks at more natural, comfortable angles
* Wheels roll smoothly on durable ball-bearing construction
* Front organizer pocket for clutter control
* Available in your choice of three sizes

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this bag. It fits my families needs perfectly and is making a great Christmas present for my husband :). The best part is Land's End is giving away one of these bags to one of my readers. Valued at 149.50, this will make a great Christmas gift for someone on your list!

Those slippers sound wonderful... I actually also really like the men's "Weatherly" jacket that is featured today at their site. My almost-teenage son HATES "puffy" jackets, and that one looks like it would be perfect.
